John Baldessari
John Baldessari has created a number of works using the foot as a focus. This work carries on that idea, and in this instance, the hole in the shoe showing the covered toe fulfill the role of the “missing information” that much of his work is known for. In this work, the toe and shoe edge is embossed.
Printed at El Nopal Press in Downtown Los Angeles. Executed by master printer Francesco Siqueiros. Prints are accompanied by a certificate of production and a certificate of authenticity.
